RightStart Mathematics follows the NCTM guidelines, and surpasses most state math standards. Downloads available for each grade give the Objectives, the Table of Contents, and sample lessons. These downloads can be found on the individual grade pages (found on the left navigation) and on the RightStart Manuals page.

We have the NEW interactive AL Abacus for you to explore. You can work with addition and multiplication using trading and quantity recognition. NCTM also has an electronic abacus available.

We recognize each classroom and school situation is unique. If you would like to discuss your specific needs, please contact Cassie at 866-354-9003 or email at Cassie@ALabacus.com. We also provide professional development.

You can see reviews and testimonials; connect to published reviews or read what others are saying. Visit our RightStart Classroom forum to post your own questions, concerns, or accomplishments of your classroom, or to discuss RightStart with other teachers.

Download a detailed chart to determine which manipulatives are needed for each grade. Also download the Classroom Price Sheet.

When corrections in the manuals are found, we make the changes immediately and note them in the  Correction List. If you find an unpublished error, please email us at info@ALabacus.com.

Effective on February 10, 2009, Section 101 of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) sets new limits on lead content in any children’s product. Beginning on February 10, 2009, any children’s product that contains more than 600 parts per million (ppm) of lead in any part that is accessible will be treated as a banned hazardous substance. In August 2009, these limits will drop to 300 ppm and will be reduced again in 2011 to the lowest level that is technologically feasible. However, CPSC granted one year stay of testing and certification requirements for certain products.

How does this affect Activities for Learning, Inc. and your ability to get RightStart Mathematics materials? There is no change anticipated. Although we don't believe there is any problems with lead in our products, we are having testing done and are in the process of securing certifications.
