Here are three simple songs to help children memorize some rote material needed in the early years. The first song, Yellow is the Sun, teaches the names for the quantities from 6 to 10 while the child shows them with fingers. You can download the sheet music as well as listen to Daniel singing.
The second song, Thirty Days Has September, uses a variation of the familiar rhyme to teach the months of the year. Writing Numbers reminds children how to write their numbers; that some start at the left and others at the right.
Note that RightStart Mathematics does not use ditties or songs to teach mathematical relationships, for example, the multiplication facts. Such learning is stored in the language part of the brain, not the math department. The facts are best learned through visual representations and relationships.
These songs are recorded on CD and can be purchased from RightStart Mathematics.
